Adrienne Burnett says pandemic not the only thing to blame
The headteacher of a local high school has described recruitment in education as a 'crisis'.
Adrienne Burnett from Ballakermeen has lost six members of staff since September.
Due to a lack of on and off-Island replacements, the school is having to constantly change timetables and get teachers to take on extra lessons.
It's a problem Mrs Burnett says has been around for a very long time, and Ballakermeen isn't the only school suffering:
Chamber: Positive Moneyval assessment vital for Island's future
Prostate cancer pathway available despite lack of screening
More than 200 residential planning applications granted permission but work yet to commence
Aviation safety audit will be 'completely independent'
