Health minister says he's working hard to ensure provisions are in place
Drawing up regulations, ensuring the counselling service is prepared and extra capacity at the hospital.
These are the biggest challenges facing the Department of Health and Social Care ahead of implementing new abortion legislation.
Health and Social Care Minister David Ashford made the announcement in February's sitting of Tynwald, that the laws will come into force from 24 May.
The bill was first brought to Tynwald 18 months ago.
The Minister also said the entire legislation would be effective immediately rather than introducing it incrementally.
He told Manx Radio what needs to be done in the meantime:
£41K spent on encouraging people to shop local
Baton of Hope to come back to Isle of Man
CoC 'keen' for continuity of sidecar racing at TT
2026 Manx Grand Prix to begin today
