Police warning as young people 'causing issues' late at night
There are reports of a rise in anti-social behaviour in and around Castletown in recent weeks, as the summer holidays approach their end.
The Southern Neighbourhood Policing Team says it believes it is just a few young people who have been throwing and kicking the town's fixtures and furniture and staying out late at night causing issues.
Officers are urging those responsible to think about their actions as it is causing unnecessary distress to residents in the area where they and their families also live.
The team says young people of high school age are responsible, and they will be identified and dealt with by police - with their parents present at all times.
It's asking how they would feel if it was their parents or grandparents who were being targeted or upset by their actions.
What may seem like 'fun' at the time - officers say - can have lasting effects on those who are the target of such behaviours.
