Election process must inspire confidence - MLC
Inconsistencies with returning officers, issues with ballot boxes and advertising of requisition meetings are among the areas which will be assessed by a newly-formed committee.
It will conduct a full review into the operation and organisation of last month’s General Election after a motion by MLC David Cretney was unanimously approved by Tynwald this week.
He'll be joined on the examining committee by four, newly-elected MHKs: David Ashford, Daphne Caine, Clare Bettison and Martyn Perkins.
Mr Cretney says members of the public need to be confident in the process.
