Vessel had suffered engine failure
Douglas RNLI volunteer crew were called out earlier today to assist a struggling fishing boat.
The vessel had one person on board and left Douglas around 10am.
Upon arriving off Onchan Head, the boats engine overheated and failed, necessitating an immediate call to the Coastguard.
The vessel was reached just before noon and towed back by the all-weather lifeboat due to force five to seven winds and a heavy swell.
The crewman was well and required no immediate attention.
