There are suggestions that investigations which have closed off part of Bucks Road in Douglas this morning may be into an attack last night.
No details are being given officially.
The site is outside the Islander Chippy.
Two pieces of polythene lie in the road and the junction is taped off.
Police officers are present.
Emergency services describe it as " a serious incident".
The road should be open at ten or perhaps before.
The call out was just after 11 last night.
