Flights cancelled last night as investigations carried out
It's hoped normal service will resume at the airport, after flights were cancelled last night following the mail plane being required to make an emergency landing.
The aircraft suffered serious hydraulic issues which after it had landed, the steering failed and had to be quarantined - meaning it wasn't able to be moved from the runway until further investigations were carried out.
Officials have cleared the 'extensive' amounts of oil on the site, and the runway has now re-opened.
However, this morning's easyJet arrival and departures from Liverpool and London Gatwick are cancelled.
