New bye-laws banning much of the Scottish scallop fishing fleet from Manx waters have been discussed at Westminster.
The chief executive of the Scottish Fishermen's Federation Bertie Armstrong met Secretary of State for Scotland Michael Moore MP in London to raise the issue.
Also present at the meeting were representatives of the Scottish Pelagic Fishermen's Association, Liberal Democrat MSP Liam McArthur and Orkney and Shetland MP Alistair Carmichael.
After the meeting, Mr Armstrong said Mr Moore had recognised the difficulties faced by the Scottish scallop fleet following their exclusion from Manx waters and he would assist on the issue.
