Sea and air fares excluded from inflation rate

Government figures show CPI stands at 0.2%

The Isle of Man Government has excluded the impact of sea and air fares from the Island's inflation rate for November.

The move means the Consumer Prices Index stands at 0.2%, but would have been -2.5% including the cost of travel on and off Island.

The monthly report says the decision was taken due to the border restrictions.

Domestic help, driving lessons and lamb have all seen significant price increases over the last 12 months, while window cleaning and fuels are both cheaper than at this time last year.
