
A call’s been made for the directors of the Sefton Group to waive their fees ahead of its annual general meeting tomorrow (Wednesday).
It follows last week’s legal advice which ruled a government department acted unlawfully when it agreed loans to bail out the group.
John Shimmin has subsequently stepped down as Economic Development Minister.
Speaking on Agenda last night (Monday), Liberal Vannin leader Kate Beecroft said directors should not receive their annual fees until a full investigation has taken place.
