An elderly woman was thrown from her car and taken to hospital after an accident which closed a road in the south of the Island for nearly four hours.
It happened on the Castletown by-pass at lunchtime today (Thursday), and involved a blue Peugeot 106 and a silver Nissan Terrano.
The male driver of the Nissan vehicle was treated at the scene by paramedics with non-serious injuries.
The condition of the woman isn't known.
Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time to get in touch.
The accident happened at 12.55pm.
