Some will be delivered from temporary buildings on site

Manx Care says services will begin to return to Ramsey and District Cottage Hospital (RDCH) in mid-May, in line with the revised timeline publicised last month.

But some will be delivered from temporary buildings on the site while estates work continues.

The Minor Injuries Unit is planned to reopen on 21 May from the main hospital site.

During TT and racing periods, this is planned to operate seven days a week.

Plain film X ray services and ultrasound will also recommence on that date, as will the DEXA bone density service, with additional sessions scheduled.

A number of services have continued to operate at RDCH, including dermatology, phlebotomy and a reduced outpatient service.

Other services such as wound management, renal services and rehabilitation and reablement will continue to be provided through temporary or alternative arrangements while work progresses.

Plans to return dental services to the north are said to be progressing and a further update will be issued once details have been confirmed.

And patient transport arrangements will remain in place to support those who need to travel for care.

Manx Care is also planning to attend a public drop-in engagement session, providing an opportunity for members of the public to hear more about the work underway and ask questions.

Updates will be shared as work continues over the coming weeks.
