Organisation publishes 'red list' of species in decline
A list of the birds, whose numbers are diminishing on the Island, has been published.
The "Red list", from Manx Birdlife, lists curlews, puffins, skylarks and tree sparrows in the 29 percent of frequent visitors and residents whose decline is causing greatest concern.
Another 40% are causing moderate concern.
Managing Director Neil Morris, who wants to make it an election issue, says 88% of land is in agricultural use and a further 6% is developed:
