
The Liberal Vannin MHK who lead the charge over the government’s bailout of the Sefton Group says the issue won’t go away anytime soon.
Yesterday, Economic Development Minister John Shimmin admitted loans to the hotel group had been unlawful – but his offer to resign had been rejected by Chief Minister Allan Bell.
South Douglas MHK Kate Beecroft, who’d persistently questioned the deal in the House of Keys and Tynwald, said the announcement vindicated her sceptical stance.
