Government supports local suppliers
The Island’s economic development minister says local suppliers do come first when the government is looking for contractors.
This morning in the House of Keys, Laurence Skelly faced questions from North Douglas MHK Ralph Peake about his support for people spending locally.
Mr Skelly said money spent with Island firms stays in our economy and so produces more prosperity.
But when pressed by Onchan MHK David Quirk, he said he’d have to look into details of the procurement process:
Completion of assisted dying bill 'the most significant moment of 2025'
Keep dogs away from Garwick Beach for next few days
Cost of sending a letter on the Island to increase in January
Be aware of phishing this time of the year
