Felled trees caused closures between Crosby and Ballacraine, at Ballahutchin to Union Mills, and Ballagarey - there was also flooding and coastal overtopping around Gansey, Castletown, Laxey and Douglas Promenade.
Motorists are being warned to watch out for residual debris and standing water, and a weather warning remains in place.
Persisting high winds mean this morning's 8.45am Ben-my-Chree crossing to Heysham, and the return journey at 2.15pm, have been cancelled.
At the airport, morning flights are leaving on time, but last night's easyJet flight to London Gatwick was delayed overnight.
Police have thanked emergency services personnel, Infrastructure crews and Civil Defence, who have been on hand to assess and repair the storm damage.
