Strike-breakers won't be brought in says Minister

The politician in charge of the Island’s buses has denied rumours he’ll bring in strikebreakers from off-Island if a dispute escalates into industrial action.

Graham Cregeen MHK of the Department of Community, Culture and Leisure has previously refused to give details of contingency plans should a row over paid lunch breaks result in a strike.

He’s now been forced to deny rumours aired by unions that 50 drivers are being brought over and given fast-tracked work permits.

Mr Cregeen says any replacement drivers needed will be hired on-Island:
