Students 'anxious' over government's climate 'inaction'

Protest planned outside Tynwald building

Student protesters will gather outside the Tynwald buildings today (11 Dec) to call for action from government on climate change.

Demands include a commitment to carbon neutrality by 2035 rather than 2050, the end of plans to extract gas, and complete divestment from fossil fuels.

The Student Climate Network is also asking for under 18s representation on the Citizens' Climate Forum.

The protest will begin at 12:30 - Archie Elliot is one of the organisers:
