
This year's Summer Drink Drive Campaign by Manx police has ended - and has been hailed a success.
Almost 300 vehicles were stopped during the campaign, which aimed to clamp down on those who may still be tempted to drive home after an evening drinking.
Inspector Mark Britton from the Central Neighbourhood policing team says it's important that the police do all they can to keep the Manx Roads safe throughout the year and whilst only a small number are facing charges for drink driving, the initiative was worthwhile
