Manx pupils pointed in next direction

Sixth formers are preparing for life after school, following the release of their A Level results this morning.

University, further education or first steps into the workplace await the hundreds of students who found out their grades earlier.

The Department of Education and Children has revealed there's been a rise in the number of pupils gaining A*s.

Schools, UCM staff, and officials from guidance services have been helping students decide the next steps to take - which may have involved some frantic phone calls to universities to arrange a different course placement.
