Health Minister confirms situation is being reviewed
One of the Island's consultant orthopaedic surgeons says they found out elective surgeries were being put on hold after it had been publicly announced.
Health Minister David Ashford confirmed one clinician has contacted him to say they weren't informed before the Department of Health and Social Care made the announcement last month.
Non-urgent elective orthopaedic operations have been temporarily halted due to increased demand at Noble's Hospital.
Mr Ashford says he's asked the department's chief executive to look into the matter:
Former DOI minister expecting new CRHS to be 'over the £70 million mark'
"Rapid review" into bed capacity at Noble's Hospital
Still 'very low risk' of meningitis outbreak on Island
MHK 'disappointed but not surprised' over secondary school delay
