Castletown cars suffer £2,000 worth of damage

Police seeking witnesses

Multiple vehicles in the south of the Island have suffered more than £2,000 worth of damage.

Police are seeking witnesses to the incident, which happened in the Westhill Avenue area of Castletown between 8pm on Wednesday 12 February and 6am on Thursday 13 February.

The culprit(s) used an unknown instrument to break front and rear windscreens of six vehicles.

One car in particular, a silver Citroen C4, sustained damage to both the front and rear windscreens as well as wipers and exterior mirror.

PC Adam Cubbon says 'This kind of damage is both distressing and frustrating to the owners of the vehicles and will be at a considerable cost for them to have the vehicles repaired. Criminal damage at this level will result in prosecution and enquiries to apprehend offenders are continuing, I would like to hear form anyone who lives in the area or who may have seen any suspicious activity at the time.'

To get in touch, you can call Adam on 631212 or alternatively email Constable 153 Cubbon at Adam.Cubbon@iom.pnn.police.uk
