Cannan claims public sector is 'regrouping' after 'tumultuous period’
Financial discipline needs to be ‘re-instilled’ within the Isle of Man Government.
That’s the message from the chief minister who says it’s needed for the long-term security of the Island.
Alfred Cannan claims the public sector is ‘effectively regrouping’ after a ‘tumultuous period’.
He told Manx Radio a number of ‘really exceptional circumstances’ – including the war in Ukraine, soaring inflation and the cost-of-living crisis – have forced government to spend money.
But he's warning that discipline could have an impact on public services:
