The chief minister is taking a break from his usual day to day activities to see how the Isle of Man has helped the fire service in a small rural community in Romania.
Tony Brown, who has been made an honorary citizen of the former Eastern bloc country, was shown what had been achieved in the village of Giris de Cris, before visiting the nearby city of Oradea, where he was hoisted up in a 'Simon Snorkel' lift.
Speaking from Romania, Mr Brown said was satisfying to see how much difference had been made:
