Rob Callister 'disappointed' study isn't being carried out due to lack of resource
An Onchan MHK says it's 'disappointing' that the Department of Infrastructure’s plans to look into traffic flow have been shelved due to a lack of resources.
The traffic slow study, which forms part of the 2018-2033 Onchan Road Map, hasn't been undertaken due to limited funding and staffing shortages - this is unlikely to change in the near future.
Rob Callister says the work is vital due to the congestion the village faces when the Mountain Road is closed.
He also believes it’s something that needs to be looked at before government seeks to grow the population:
