Treasury taking G7 tax plans 'very seriously'

Minister says it's too early to gauge impact

Treasury is paying close attention to plans from the world's leading economies to introduce a minimum global coporation tax.

G7 finance ministers are meeting this weekend to consider proposals which could also include 'digital taxes' on tech giants like Amazon and Google.

It's to ensure multinationals pay a fair share of tax and to aid the economic recovery from the pandemic.

Treasury Minister Alfred Cannan says it's too early to tell what impact this may have on the Island:
