40-year-old denies committing offence
A Douglas man will stand trial after being accused of indecently assaulting a 12-year-old child.
The 40-year-old, who can’t be named due to new anonymity laws brought in by Tynwald, appeared at Douglas Courthouse.
He denies committing the offence between 30 September last year and 1 January this year.
Committal proceedings – where the case is elevated to the Court of General Gaol Delivery – will take place on 3 October; bail was granted until that date.
Update: The man will next appear before the Court of General Gaol Delivery on 27 November.
