TT Festival plan for Jurby

Organisers of a festival planned for TT next year have applied for permission to hold it in Jurby.

Tina Carter of Motofest has applied for planning permission to hold a temporary camp and festival site at Jurby Airfield.

In the application, she says the site would have live music, stunt riders, and other entertainment during TT fortnight next year.

The campsite would cater for up to 500 tents and those behind the festival say up to 10,000 people could attend over the course of ten days.

The site would open at 10am each day, with live music from midday on days without racing, and from 6pm on race days.

Bands would finish playing no later than midnight, and organisers say the festival site itself is well away from neighbouring homes in Jurby.

The main area of the festival would contain catering, bars, music venues, and big screens for fans to watch the racing.

You can find out more about the application on the government’s website gov.im
