Past two years 'a nightmare' says former resident
It's two years since the Island was hit by torrential rainfall causing severe flooding in Laxey.
Sixty two homes were damaged - 51 of which were along Glen Road - with some owners still struggling to get insurance or finding themselves being forced to pay huge premiums.
It sparked a major recovery operation including drafting in a coastguard helicopter to help residents trapped in their homes.
On the second anniversary of the incident Glen Road remains closed to traffic as flood defence work continues in the area.
The road is set to fully re-open on 15 October.
