Tynwald back calls for OHR report to be published

Chief Minister had sought to delay publication until April 2024

Calls for a report into government's Office of Human Resources to be published immediately have been supported in Tynwald.

Douglas South MHK Claire Christian received backing for her motion, which sought the findings of the review ordered by the chief minister in May 2022 to be published.

Alfred Cannan had sought a delay, asking instead for Tynwald to give government officers until April 2024 to respond to the report before its release, but his amendment was defeated.

The review was commissioned in response to the outcome of the Dr Rosalind Ranson tribunal, in which the former medical director won her claim of unfair dismissal as a result of whistleblowing.

The tribunal's findings led to the departure of a number of senior civil servants, including the then-executive director of OHR.
