Tynwald Westminster trip 'informative'

Delegation travels to parliament

It's hoped sending ten Tynwald members on a trip to Westminster has provided valuable lessons on parliamentary oversight and judicial independence.

The group visited the Houses of Parliament to learn how the UK's Constitutional and Legal Affairs Committee conducts its business.

While there they also met chair of the Public Accounts Committee, Labour's Meg Hillier.

It was funded by the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA).

Tynwald recently established a committee to address constitutional matters that conflict with legal challenges.
