Campaigners describe decision as 'fantastic'
A historic pub in Glen Maye has been temporarily protected from demolition work.
The Waterfall Hotel has been issued with a Building Preservation Notice after it was identified as being of special architectural or historical interest.
Planning applications to demolish it, and create four town houses, have previously been rejected - the latest decision is currently subject to appeal.
Residents in the village have collected signatures in a bid to save the building which were then submitted to government.
A spokesperson for the group says the serving of the notice, which is in place until October, is 'fantastic news'.
