Manxman sailings at risk today
A yellow weather warning remains in place until 4pm this afternoon (23 January), for coastal overtopping.
Forecasters at Ronaldsway Met Office say winds will likely lead to minor coastal overtopping of waves around high tide, which is expected just after 2pm.
There's a risk of sea water and slight debris washing onto exposed coastal roads and promenades.
The most affected areas will be Douglas, Laxey and Ramsey Promenades, parts of Shore Road (Rushen), and to a lesser extent Castletown Promenade.
'Sailing'
Meanwhile, the 8am Douglas to Heysham Manxman sailing as well as its return will depart as normal.
However, there is uncertainty around the 7.15pm Douglas to Heysham journey and its return the following morning.
A decision will be made by 5pm.
