Temperatures due to fall close to freezing
A yellow-weather warning for ice will be in place from 9pm tonight (12 March).
The southwest of the Island – and areas damp from rainfall – are most likely to be affected.
Ronaldsway Met Office says air temperatures will fall close to freezing later this evening, and overnight, resulting in sub-zero temperatures and the risk of icy patches.
The areas most likely to be affected will be higher ground above 800 feet and areas sheltered from the north-easterly winds including the central valley.
The weather warning will be in place until 9am tomorrow (13 March) when temperatures are expected to recover.
