Officers called to Quarterbridge on Monday night
Police in Douglas say a number of 'juveniles' had to be searched after being found inside the closed Quarterbridge pub on Monday night.
Officers say the youths were searched for 'items that could cause harm to themselves or others' and to check for any stolen items.
In a statement, the Eastern Neighbourhood Policing Team says the children's parents were called to the site, were informed of the searches, and arrangements were made for them to be spoken to at a later date.
It adds, contrary to comments on social media police officers do have powers to stop and search juveniles in public and these searches were to their outer clothing only.
