Rounds five and six of ARA Championship to take place

A double-header of racing action is taking place at Jurby Motordrome this weekend.

Rounds five and six of the Andreas Racing Association (ARA) Championship are being held in the north of the Island across today and tomorrow respectively (11-12 July).

Heading into these two days, Rory Parker currently leads the Open Solo Centre Championship by 30 points with his current nearest competitor, Jamie Cringle, still unavailable as he continues a long-term recovery from injury.

Meanwhile, Kyle Casement starts the weekend in control of the Supersport Championship as his current haul of 117 points puts him 54 points ahead of the next closest challenger in the field.

Elsewhere, Francesco Faraldo and Lex Gaval lead two other solo classes each.

For the sidecars, the drivers standings are currently led by Stu Bainborough (52 points) whilst Lenny Bumfrey and Jonathan Aire are locked together at the top of the passenger championship (36 points).

For spectators this weekend, machines will be due out on track from 9.30am each day with racing starting from approximately 11.45am - tickets to attend are £6 for adults whilst Under-16's go free.
