Bottom side Celts stun Vikings to knock them off top spot

Bottom side Castletown Celts recorded one of the greatest results in recent history as they beat Vikings A 2-1 to knock them off the top of the Rossborough Mixed Premier League table.

Steve Ronan and Robin Masson got the goals as the southerners moved level on points with Ramsey A after a famous win.

They headed into the game off the back of three straight defeats and were still seeking their first points of the season.

Rob Pritchard was on target for Vikings, who slip to second after a thumping win for Bacchas A.

The Cronkbourne side thumped Vikings B 7-1 with Andy Whiting scoring a hat-trick.

Shae Christiansen (2), Jonny Callow and Lauren Brew also netted as Bacchas move a point clear at the top.

Elsewhere, Luis Novo-Smith and Alex Freer were among the goals as Valkyrs A ran out 2-1 winners over Ramsey A.
