Manx Missile makes top three in stage eleven showdown
Mark Cavendish secured a hard-fought podium finish whilst competing on stage 11 of the 2023 Giro D'Italia.
Involved in an intense bunch sprint to the finish in Tortona, the 'Manx Missile' took the battle to the very end to claim third place and 90 UCI points.
UAE Team Emirates' Pascal Ackermann took the victory whilst Jonathan Milan of Bahrain Victorious took second spot.
It follows a positive performance from Cavendish yesterday (16 May) who managed an eighth-placed finish on stage ten.
Tomorrow, Cav will join his fellow competitors on a 185km route from Bra to Rivoli.
