Big wins in women's league

There were no shocks in the Regency Travel Women's league on Sunday.

Champions Peel ran out 9-2 winners over Douglas Athletic and Douglas Royal thrashed Colby 12-1.

In the masters football, Douglas & District have reached their first ever senior cup final by defeating Marown 3-1 at the Bowl in the Masters FA Cup.

Konrad Kumor gave the Noble’s Park outfit a first half lead, however Gary Christian equalised after the interval.

Kumor restored D&D’s lead in the closing stages before first team manager Richard Delaney netted their third on the stroke of full-time.

In the other semi-final, Colby secured a 1-0 win over champions Peel.

Chris Kneen scored their only goal six minutes from time.
