Cav to rest after shoulder surgery
Manxman Mark Cavendish has been ruled out for the rest of the season after having shoulder surgery.
The 30-year-old Etixx - Quick-Step rider suffered the injury on the sixth stage of the Tour of Britain a few weeks ago and withdrew from the race.
Cavendish had already pulled out of this week’s World Road Race Championships.
He says he’ll now rest before a period of ‘intensive rehab’.
