Ravens to host Widnes Town in first round

FC Isle of Man will make a return to cup competition for the first time in nearly four years this weekend.

'The Ravens' are set to host Widnes Town in the first round of the Macron Cup tomorrow night (26 September) at The Bowl at 6pm.

The last time the Islanders appeared in this particular tournament was back in October 2022.

FC Isle of Man Manager, Lee Dixon is looking forward to a different test this and says it'll be an opportunity to rotate his squad and give opportunities to players who haven't featured as much as others so far:

Having succesfully fought for a narrow home league win in the NWCFL Premier Division last weekend, FC Isle of Man head into this cup venture currently unbeaten at home so far in the 2026/27 season.

They'll take on a newly-formed Widnes Town side which has struggled to adapt to life in the tier below in the NWCFL Division One South so far.

Gary Taylor-Fletcher's side sit bottom of that division with just two points so far and without a win in any competition as of yet.
