Westerners claims fourth division title despite not kicking a ball
Peel were crowned the winners of the Canada Life Women's League on Sunday (26 April).
That was despite not kicking a ball at the weekend.
The Westerners, who claimed their fourth division title, were due to play Union Mills but their opponents couldn't field a team, which handed the three points to the newly crowned champions.
Corinthians finished the season in second place after their tie against Douglas Royal was also marked as a home-win to the Whites.
It is the second trophy of the season for Peel who won the Floodlit Cup against Douglas Royal earlier in the season.
They have a chance at a treble if they can get past Corinthians in the semi-final of the FA Cup.
Peel last won the division in 2016, 2022 and 2024.
