Bradford man sets the pace in Supersport qualifying

Newcomers got their first taste of the Mountain Course as they took to the circuit this afternoon.

Despite a delayed start to proceedings, the conditions have been fine for the riders after poor weather put paid to any qualifying yesterday.

It was also an opportunity for the more experienced riders to get their eye in for the first time this year.

Dean Harrison set the pace in the Supersport aboard his Sillicone Engineering Kawasaki.

The Bradford man posted an impressive 126.09mph as he began the fortnight in superb fashion.

He was ahead of both Michael Dunlop and Conor Cummins in the opening session of TT 2019.

Harrison said the wind was a big factor on the Mountain section:
