Report by Ben Cunningham:

League action takes a break this week and we see the first rounds of the respective cup, plate and bowl competitions as well as the Under-15’s league continuing.

In the Ladies Cup, Bacchas A - who have had a steady start this season - meet Valkyrs A who got a big win over the current league champions, Castletown A last time out.

The other tie is a southern derby between Castletown B and Castletown A, the current holders of the Ladies Cup and I’m sure they will want to keep a hold of it again for another year.

Harlequins A and Vikings A got byes into the next round

In the Men's Cup, an interesting contest could be on the cards as Vikings A face Harlequins A - Vikings lost their perfect start to the campaign last weekend with defeat to Bacchas A and Harlequins come into this game on the back of a win over Castletown A.

Elsewhere, Valkyrs A - who got their first win of the season last weekend over Vikings B - face Bacchas A, the current holders who are still yet to lose this season.

Vikings B and Castletown A got byes into the next round.

In the Ladies Plate, Vikings B play last year's Ladies Bowl winners, Bacchas C who are still yet to get a win or point on the board this season.

The other tie sees Ramsey A play Castletown C - the northerners have had a strong start so far this season whilst Castletown do have a win on the board and have been doing their best to challenge the other teams in Ladies Division One.

Bacchas B and Valkyrs B got byes into the next round

In the Men's Plate, just the one tie to take place in this round and it’s between two sides that are in the running at the top of Men's Division One, Valkyrs B and Ramsey A.

Both these sides will definitely be looking at having a good cup run and this is one game I think could end up going the full distance to penalty flicks.

Harlequins B, Bacchas B and Castletown B all got byes into the next round.

The Ladies Bowl is already at the semi-final stage with only four teams playing this out so we will see these fixture take place in the next round.

The Men's Bowl, the first tie sees Ramsey B plays Bacchas C - Ramsey B have had a good start being a newly-formed side and they have made a strong statement showing how good they can be, as for Bacchas C they have been looking very competitive in their games so far this season.

Another newly-formed side in Harlequins C face Castletown C, another game that, I think, will be close.

We do have one rearranged league game and that’s in Ladies Division Two between Castletown D and Ramsey B at King Williams College, pushing back at 12:30pm.
