Action taken in line with England Basketball measures
Basketball leagues on the Island have been suspended, initially for two weeks, in light of coronavirus.
The Isle of Man Basketball Association says it's taken the decision following discussions within the executive committee, and as an affiliated member of England Basketball.
This suspension is in line with the measures being taken by England Basketball and extends to all Thursday evening activities – there will be no junior or senior league games during this period.
Manx Youth Games basketball training sessions are affiliated with Manx Sport and Recreation and will continue to operate as normal per current guidance from MSR and the Isle of Man Government for now.
The basketball leagues are currently scheduled to resume on Thursday, 2 April; the IoMBA says it will issue an update should the situation change.
