Dave Norman is the Island's first ever individual medal-winner in the sport
Island Games silver medallist Dave Norman believes a purpose-built squash facility on the Isle of Man would enable the sport to thrive.
The 46-year-old became his nation's first ever individual medal-winner in Gibraltar, knocking out a number of the top seeds including home favourite Anthony Brindle in the semi-final.
Coaches are hoping his success will inspire others to pick up a racket and take up squash, which was badly affected when severe flooding put the NSC courts out of action in 2015.
Norman told Manx Radio Sport a specific squash facility on the Island would be a real boost:
Rugby: Douglas lose third on the bounce
Losing MGP Supporters Club would leave 'huge gap'
Golf: Ana Dawson secures top-20 finish at Q-School
FC Isle of Man fight back to beat Glossop North End
