Family says 'this is going to be the hardest fight he's ever had'
The family of Isle of Man motorcycle racer, Jamie Cringle says the rider is 'a couple of steps closer in the right direction' following a crash at this year's Isle of Man TT Races.
The Manxman was involved in an incident at Union Mills during this year's Supersport TT Race 2 on Friday, 5 June.
He was initially taken to Noble's Hospital before being transferred to Aintree Hospital in the UK for further treatment.
In an update, his brother, Ryan Cringle confirms Jamie has since undergone several operations, adding 'this is going to be the hardest fight he's ever had and is really going to need all of your love and support.'
Furthermore, Ryan is thanking supporters for their 'kind messages and well wishes' at this time, and that the support goes 'a very long way.'
Meanwhile, a fundraiser has already started to financially assist Jamie and his family with his recovery and rehabilitation.
So far, more than £37,000 has been donated as of this afternoon (10 June), exceeding the original target of £30,000.
