Australian capitalises as Dunlop retires late on
Australia's David Johnson became the fifteenth man to win a Classic TT as he triumphed in a dramatic Superbike contest.
The 37-year-old was involved in a thrilling duel with Michael Dunlop for large parts of the race, before the Ballymoney rider retired at Hilberry on the final lap.
That left the path clear for Johnson to ease to victory in style as he finished more than 41 seconds ahead of his nearest rival.
It was his first ever victory at the Classic TT.
Derek Sheils also claimed his first podium at the event as he ended the race in second, with James Hillier gaining yet another top three finish around the Mountain Course.
Speaking after his win, Johnson told Manx Radio he went all out to continue what has been a brilliant year on the Isle of Man:
Ravens go three unbeaten with win at City of Liverpool
