Douglas Athletic put nine past Malew without reply on Saturday afternoon to continue their dominance of JCK Division Two.

A Connor Dowell hat-trick, two from Mark Wolfenden and goals from Drew Ward, Danny O’Hare, Stephen Cowan and Lewis Holland sealed the victory against the side which severely damaged their promotion hopes last season.

Michael United’s miserable return to the division continued as they were hammered 10-2 at Colby.

Jordan Primrose Smith was the hero with half of his side’s tally.

The prolific James Collett also notched four and Chris McKenna one.

Jay Chatwood and an own goal were all Michael had to show for their efforts.

The game of the day ended all square at Ballafletcher as Douglas Royal and Braddan shared the points - Kenny Cowin and Andy Glover trading goals.

Two goals from Darren Flannigan and Barry English fired Pulrose to a 3-1 success at Onchan, while Gymns were far too strong for Governor’s Athletic.

Dan Simpson (three), Luke Fisher, Max Stokoe and Kevin Armstrong grabbed the goals in a 6-1 victory at Tromode.

There was excitement at Billy Goat Park as Foxdale and Douglas and District shared six goals.

D&D, who found the net through Daniel Clague-Stewart (two) and Richard Brant, actually led 2-0 at the break.

But the home side fought back to earn a point – Charlie Harrison (two) and Scott Kermeen their marksmen.
