Another surprise in the 2011 general election came in Onchan, where government minister Adrian Earnshaw lost his seat after ten years to relative newcomer Zac Hall, of the Liberal Vannin Party.
Mr Hall, an airline pilot, came second to party leader Peter Karran, with David Quirk regaining his seat in third place.
